Here we have a fine quality Victorian Tunbridge ware desk top thermometer in the form of an obelisk, it is of classical from on a plinth base and decorated with mosaic falling bricks pattern, the design is attributed to Henry Hollamby and was made to commemorate Cleopatra''s Needle, there is a bone plate showing the temperature in fahrenheit behind the working thermometer.
A beautiful working example that would grace any collection.
