Lee Wright Antiques & Interiors Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The three legs adorned with leaf detail but also particularly well observed and carved animal legs and claws with the musculature also defined. The quality of this carving is very high indeed and sets this table apart from most other examples. The guéridon stands very well and is clearly the product of a very high quality workshop, the quality of the timber used also being far better than that usually encountered. The black and grey marble top with its carved edge is original to the table and very attractive.
