Antique Treen 17thc / 18thc Turned Sycamore Reeded Food Platter . English C1680-c1720.

Description

A rare survial from the late 17thc / early 18thc is this finely turned food platter, made from sycamore....it has a triple reed to the rim and with a very shallow "booge", all early features and on the underside it is decorated with multiple line decoration. There is part of an early collection label on the underside....the platter is in fine "used" condition with a pleasing colour and natural patina....one of the best I have had in a long time..!
