A Chamberlain Worcester Coffee Can and Saucer C.1795-1800

Description

A typically fine Chamberlain Worcester coffee can and saucer c.1795-1800. Of bucket shape form with slightly tapering sides. Each piece finely painted with a panel of an exotic bird in a landscape in the manner of George Davis. Yellow band & gilding. Unmarked. See page 193 of Geoffrey Godden’s book on Chamberlain for a similar shape coffee can and saucer but with spiral fluting and a different border. Also see page 114 for a similar can as well.

Condition: Excellent with just some minor wear to the gilding mainly around the rim
