Description

Fabulous pair of mid 19th.c. Irish mahogany fireside peat buckets c.1840. Coopered buckets of tapering form (height 15½", diameter 13½") with distinctive ribbed mahogany staves, brass coopering and folding brass handles. Damage to the brass band around the base of one bucket. Otherwise excellent condition.
