The telescope sits atop a short folding brass tripod. Two screws below the telescope fix it onto the stand. The stand allows the telescope to swivel completely around and be moved up and down. It has an additional adjustment rod attached to the side of the tube and the bottom of the stand which allows the telescope to be kept steady and moved very fractionally when looking at something using the rack and pinion knobs.
Both the telescope and stand are in excellent condition and display beautifully - a real statement piece. The telescope has clearly been well looked after and there are no major damages. It has suffered some minor dinks and small knocks to the tube but nothing untoward. The lenses are undamaged and produce a clear and crisp image with a very good range. It has been beautifully polished and is ready for use.
