Beautifully worked in straw on a painted estuary scene with sailing boats. In very good condition, titled Conwy Bridge. A good large size and mounted in a fabulous antique mahogany frame and under clear glass. This type of Welsh antique straw work pictures are quite rare, they were made in a country house where mothers out of wedlock were sent to have their babies in secret. To pass time, these straw work pictures of important Welsh landmarks were produced by hand.
