Antique George II Solid Mahogany Serpentine Fold Over Games Table surviving from c1740 and most likely of Irish Provenance.
Standing on four elegant Cabriole Legs with Lappet Carved knee and Pad Foot.
Above is a deep frieze with a Carved Shell Motif.
Having two Gate legs which fold out to support the top once opened.
The top being beautifully shaped with Brass hinge and constructed from a rich Cuban Mahogany which opens up to reveal a fantastic Azure Blue baize with some wear , with circular candle stick/Drink section and four beautifully carved ''Guinea Wells'' for holding coins/chips.
Diminutive in stature so will not take too much space when not in use.
