A delightful pair of 19th C Valentine pictures with designs made from sweethearts’ hair in their original frames.
One of these sentimental pictures shows an elaborate work of one bee inside a heart and below a single love bird.
The other picture shows two bees above two love birds. In both pictures hair is entwined and the branches encompass and protect the birds and bees. Completely original and untouched.
These pictures have obviously spent some time above an open fireplace.
The mounting ivory coloured paper has some marks/blemishes but the hair designs are intact apart from a tiny area of the right hand side branch of the picture with one bee and one bird (see photos).
