Norris London A2 Steel Smoothing Plane

1900 - 1920
Description

Basically good 1920's Norris of London A2 patent adjustable dovetailed steel, coffin-shaped smoothing plane. This plane has obviously been used but has also been well looked after. The plane comes in good original condition with no issues at all and no damage. Good original rosewood infill with open rear handle (no splits or cracks), gunmetal lever cap and 1922 patent blade adjuster. The plane comes with its original backing iron and an old replacement thick Norris parallel iron giving it a super fine mouth. The A2 is not a common one to find especially in this condition. Just waiting to find a new home and be put back to use.
