Pair of early 20th century Indian hand carved hardwood Elephant book ends,c1920. Probably from North India these are quality examples, the grain of the wood is lovely they are beautifully carved, heavy, and highly decorative. The tusks appear to be made of ivorine/early plastic. They have great colour/patina and overall condition is very good with only very minor surface wear in line with age and use.
