Pair Of Antique Porcelain Rudolstadt Volkstedt Wall Pockets, Mid 19th Century

Vivacious pair of antique wall pockets, modelled as scrolling cornucopias emblazoned with relief moulded face masks wearing feathered caps and foliate garlands swagged between an eagle''s head to one one and ram''s head to the other. The rims are enriched with laced bans of golden gilt.
 
Marked to Volkstedt porcelain manufactory, and fashioned under the purview of Triebner Ens & Eckert, the founders of the factory.. Known as the Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur, the ''Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Manufactory'', this was the first porcelain manufactory in Thuringia, Germany, originating in the 1760s. These pieces date to the 19th century.
 
Excellent antique condition, some minor wear commensurate with age. Please carefully regard all photos.
