Large Victorian Sampler - Unusual Subjects

Description

Charming Victorian sampler , worked by Maggie Alice Stevens and dated 1886.

Wonderfully detailed needlework with numbers, the alphabet, hearts etc and various presumably family members initials along with birds, a horse, a cat on a cushion and a Scottish ? gentleman holding a stick or a gun all within a lovely floral border.

Normal wear / fading but overall this beautiful sampler is in good condition and is not done justice in the photographs.
