Description

A beautiful and impressive antique Westerwald pottery ewer, made in Germany around the 1880-1900 period. Westerwald pottery was made in the Westerwaldkreis area in the Rheinland. It has a distinctive look, and is of extremely fine quality.

This is large and impressive, with lots of wonderful detail. It has an animals head spout, and a beautiful handle in the image of a noble youth. There is lots of detailed imagery throughout the middle section, and extremely well executed.

It is in very good condition throughout, there are just a couple of extremely tiny chips the middle edge on one side, seen in the images.

Depth – 8 inches , 20 cm

Height – 22 inches , 56 cm
