An 18th Century Qianlong 'Mandarin Pattern' Export Punch Bowl Decorated with Domestic Family Scenes

This is a wonderful example of the riveters art and was repaired in the 19th century with 15 staples or rivets and two more unusual areas of lead-work, one large section to the rim and another small infill. The rest of the bowl has various hairlines and wear but is a strangely attractive illustration of the lengths that people went to in order to preserve cherished items
