Description

A George III period, mahogany tilt-top tripod table with birdcage, dating from the late C18th. A quality table, featuring a single piece solid mahogany top. Relief carved into it are nine bowls around its edge, separated by with foliate details, all around an inner bowl. A hinged tilt mechanism and rotating birdcage. Supported by a well proportioned carved turned stem, raised on a tripod of carved cabriole legs with claw feet.

An attractive example, in good condition and ready for use.

This table measures approximately 72 cm (28.5") tall, and 83 cm (32.5") in diameter.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some minor marks and blemishes. A few small chips to the foliate detail around the edge. No obvious signs of repair or structural damage.
