An Enormous Beech Farmhouse Table from Normandy

1900 - 1920
Description

This is simply the most enormous French farmhouse table that I have ever seen, even the Windsors would all fit around this one, perhaps Fergie as well. Constructed from enormous slabs of beech, this table is extremely robust, hence there is no significant damage to report on. Generally, the table has a good used look with a nice waxed finish and mellow colour. The footrail is set well back so as not to obstruct feet and chairs, while the frieze is sufficiently shallow so as not to inhibit your legs while dining. The top is cleated at each end and there are useful drawers on each side for cutlery etc. This table really is a one off, you could look for many years before finding one like this. Circa 1900.
