Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1930s.
This is a superb example with an adzed single plank top supported with two shaped sides and the feet are joined a central stretcher. The distinctive squirrel signature is carved to one of the sides. The Oak is a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of oak furniture wax finishing.
