Jeckyll & Co has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Ebonised hardwood and pine with gilt highlights.
The pierced undertier is distinctive, considered variously as a sunburst or stylised flowerhead.
W Godwin', 'pierced chrysamthemums are some of his (sic) best Anglo-Japanese features'.

Condition: Structurally sound. The top was originally upholstered in either baize or velvet. This could be easily be re-instated if desired.
