Rare William IV Oak Extending Dining Table

Description

Circa 1840. Rare William IV oak extending dining table in quarter-cut oak with four original leaves and original cast brass clips. The top in a beautifully figured quarter-cut oak with a lovely original colour and patina and stamped underneath by the famous cabinet maker ‘Johnstone Jeanes & Co. 67 New Bond Street, London’. Supported on tapering ring turned legs over large, gilded brass caps and castors stamped ‘Cope & Collinson Patent’., Four additional variable sized original leaves. Outstanding quality.
