Description

A George II period, mahogany tilt-top tripod table with birdcage, Circa 1760. A original and high quality table, constructed in excellent early well figured solid mahogany. A circular top, from a single piece of attractively figured heavy mahogany, hinged tilt mechanism and rotating birdcage. Supported by a well proportioned baluster turned stem with wrythen carved base, raised on a tripod of cabriole legs.

A superb example, in very good and original condition. Excellent colour, polish and patina throughout. Ready for use.

This table measures approximately 70.25 cm (25.5") tall, and 83.75 cm (33") in diameter.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in very good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Excellent colour, patina, and polish. A couple of scratches in the polish on the top, otherwise only minor marks and blemishes. No obvious signs of repair or structural damage. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
