Description

A handsome mahogany table, this Louis Philippe French gueridon has the original removable marble top which is white and cream with some light grey flecking and has an edging lip around the circumference. The splendid central baluster is nicely carved above a triform base, as are the impressive lion paw feet which are set on the original metal castors. This circular table will be an ideal central feature for a reception area, providing a great waterproof surface for flowers or plants and if used in an entrance area of a business with traditional decor, will be ideal for displaying literature or other items.

Dating to circa 1840, this is made of mahogany and marble and originates from France.

In good age related condition, the marble has no major chips, with just one minor dent on the top surface which is about 1 cm long and not very deep. The mahogany veneer around the circumference has had some restoration.
