As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this large and most enchanting Meiji Period 1868-1912, study of a ceramic Bijin seated upon a wooden display stand , this serene beauty is painted in a typical kutani pallette with a mixture of green, blue, gilt and orange decoration to her kimono, her jet black hair impeccably tied into a pony tail that stretches the length of her back and under her resting hand, her facial features finely rendered.
