Here is a beautiful Edwardian (or possibly late Victorian) washbowl with a charming border of English Garden birds flying through the clouds around the rim.
A fine pair of Swallows dart alongside two Blue Tits, a Goldfinch, a Robin and a pair of Chaffinches - quite the summer garden collection !
On the underside the bowl fades through white to sky blue, and is unmarked on the base.
The bowl is in used condition with the surface wear to be expected of a well loved piece of this age, it is however free from damage and still displays beautifully. The bowl is 40cm in diameter and stands 12 cm high.
