George III Mahogany Small Side or Wine Flip-top Tripod Table

18th century
Description

A Georgian period, mahogany tilt-top tripod table, Circa 1810. Of small proportions, ideal for a wine or side table. A circular top, from a single piece of well figured solid mahogany, with tilt mechanism. Supported by a fine ring turned stem, raised on a tripod of cabriole legs on pad feet.

The unusual size of this charming little table makes it highly functional and desirable. A couple of flaws, but with good colour, polish and patina. Ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 53 cm (21") tall, and 43 cm (17") in diameter.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Good colour, pleasing patina, and a good polish. Some marks to the top, but well polished in. An old but quality repair to the top of the stem and the joint above one leg. A slight lean in the block at the top of the stem, which makes the top not quite angled flat. Though not enough to tip a drink or make it unsturdy. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
