A Large 17th century Refectory table in Oak, it has been made originally as a serving table to go up against the wall as it is carved to the freize on the front and sides but plain on the back also as can be seen the front edge is rounded on the corners but it can obviously be used in the centre of a room, the top is very thick it has bread board ends which stop the grain from splitting, it also has a wonderfull colour and patina and is made from just two planks of Oak the base has heavy carved and turned legs and is solid, the top lifts of the base for ease of moving the table which is quite heavy
