A Regency period, small mahogany extending dining table, Circa 1820. This handsome original table with oblong shaped, very well figured solid mahogany top with rounded corners, extends by way of an additional leaf, with each end-leaf sliding out on bearer stretchers. Internally there are slots for the extra original brass table forks to rest when not in use. The table is raised on fine ring turned legs on original brass cup castors.
A totally original period table, in good working condition; cleaned, waxed and ready for use.
An ideal table for a small home, and suitable for seating up to 6 people comfortably.

This table measures approximately 75 cm (29.5'') tall, 106 cm (42'') wide, 124.5 cm (49'') long when unextended, and 176 cm (69'') when extended. The leaf measures approximately 51 cm (20'').

...turally sound and sturdy. There are some odd marks and blemishes in keeping with its age and use; including a couple of small old scratches to the top, but now well polished in, and bruises to the legs. Sliding mechanism and castors are all original and working well. No obvious signs of repair. Good colour, polish and patina. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
