Victorian Walnut & Floral Marquetry Card Table

An attractive `Victorian walnut and marquetry demi-lune card table dating to circa 1870. The fold-over top inlaid with sprays of flowers within scrolling borders, with a thumb moulded edge above a line inlaid frieze and supported by four turned columns with bell flower bases and superbly carved floral spire & ball pendant to the centre, the four acanthus and Greek key carved down-swept legs decorated with floral bosses and raised on brass and porcelain castors.
 
The hinged swivel top concealing an interior space for storing cards and games and opening to reveal a green baize lined playing surface. In good condition and with a warm colour, the interior has some fading & marks to the baize and surround, there is a missing boss to one of the back legs which we can have replaced if required.
