Description

This is an attractive French 19th century Empire style walnut circular centre table with a white marble top on three cylindrical legs. The marble is not fixed and sits freely on the simple apron above a concave shaped stretcher shelf base, which itself is on wooden castors allowing easy movement.

A table of this shape is ideal for the centre of a reception area, but equally works as a side or occasional table in other areas of a home or period office. This piece is of a relatively small size and will fit well into most spaces. The marble top is easy to keep clean and can be used for standing items such as vases or reception paperwork without the need to worry about the scratches or water damage that might occur on wood.

Dating to circa 1850, this piece is made from walnut with a marble top and originates from France.

The marble has a couple of small chips from around the edge, but the piece is in generally good age-related condition.
