Fine Quality Victorian Figured Walnut Antique Work Box
This Fine Quality 19th Century Victorian Figured Walnut Antique Work Box / Work Table dates from ca. 1870. It has a stunning figured walnut top with serpentine moulded edges. The top is hinged and the interior is fitted with a removable jewellery tray and mirror. There is a key with working lock. This fine antique table has an elegantly carved frieze with turned finials and it has shaped moulded side supports along with a central stretcher for added stability. It stands on scrolled legs and the piece has aged to a golden walnut shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
