Telescopic Regency Mahogany Wine Table

Description

A very elegant Regency mahogany telescopic wine or lamp table c.1820. Rectangular top with inlaid border supported on an elegant turned column to swept legs with neat little gilt bun feet. Dual catch mechanism which locks the top in place when in the upright position. The catches have been repositioned to the opposing side at some point in the past, presumably due to them becoming loose over time.

Excellent overall colour and condition, sensitively cleaned and waxed.
