Description

A super quality Victorian satinwood bedside table by much sought after makers, Holland & Sons. A most versatile and useful table with drop flap rectangular tops and two the faux drawers open as hinged fall-down cupboard doors, offering two useful compartments. Supported on fine tapering reeded legs, terminating in brass caps and castors by Cope & Collinson. The doors each stamped Holland & Sons. Circa 1840.

In superb condition throughout, professionally repolished to the highest of standards. Wonderful colour and condition.

A similar pair sold in Christie’s in 2011; Auction 7087. The Sunday Sale. £4,000. Lot 17, with provenance from The late Earl of Sefton, Croxteth Hall, Liverpool, Christie's House Sale, 17-21 September 1973, lot 445, as 'a pair.'
