Taylor of Edinburgh Mahogany Sutherland Table

Description

Fine quality early Victorian Scottish mahogany sutherland table by JOHN TAYLOR of EDINBURGH. The table folds away very narrow when not in use but when fully up would seat 6 easily. The table is stamped with the makers mark on the top of one of the legs. When fully open the table top is oval in shape with a very nice thumb moulded edge. The table has all of its original brass castors which are also stamped with the makers name of R LANGEBEAR & Co. BIRMINGHAM. The timber used is very good and as such the table is pretty heavy even though it is quite small. No issues.

The table is a very nice mellow mahogany colour with waxed finish.

SIZE; 39" wide by only 6 1/2" deep (When closed) by 29" high. When open it is 50" by 39".
