Early 18th Century Oak Server Table

18th century
Description

Early 18th century country oak server table or console table with arcaded carving to the frieze and on shaped legs with slipper feet.

Curious piece as the arcaded frieze is 17th century, so fitted to the table some time in the 18th century it would seem.

Well proportioned and has a great look with its age and use marks which I have left as they are under many decades of beeswax polish. The front left slipper foot as you look at the table has some losses which I have also left, but may well have restored with it being the front leg, although I wouldn’t say it detracts from the table. ( it is priced with the foot as is now ).

Great piece for using as a hall console table, server table or a side lamp table, but could also be used to sit at too.

Measuring:

28 1/2 inches or 72.5 cm high

43 inches or 109 cm wide

18 inches or 46 cm deep

22 inches of 56 cm from the floor to the underside
