Victorian 10ft Mahogany Extending Dining Table

This quality, very large extending dining table in solid mahogany, Circa 1870. With oblong shaped top with thumb moulded edge, over a plain frieze with lower lipped edge. Raised on carved well proportioned cabriole legs, on equally well proportioned brass castors. The table extends by way of a Joseph Fitter "Patent" double screw mechanism on sliding telescopic stretchers, with removable winding handle. Triple extending leaves and the table can be set with either one, two or all three leaves.

A handsome, very well made table, in good condition overall and very much ready for use. Suitable for comfortably 14 people, 2 on either end and 5 along each side.

Delivery is included in the price, and is a to the front door service. This is an extremely heavy table and requires 3 to 4 people to lift through single door doorways. Please contact us prior to purchase to discuss putting this table into your dining room, as we will need to plan it out and make arrangements for sufficient people to assist.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 73.5 cm (29") tall, 308 cm (121") long fully extended, 137.5 cm (54") wide. The leaves measure 54.5 cm (21.5") each.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in good condition structurally and cosmetically, commensurate with its age. All original. Some minor marks, blemishes, and light scratches to the top. Good patina, and with a good polish. Winding mechanism, handle, castors all work well. Very much ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.

Returns

A 30-day return period is offered for peace of mind. Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied. Return transport costs are the responsibility of the buyer, and original delivery charges are non-refundable. Responsibility for the item remains with the buyer until it has been safely received back.
