It has three drawers each with brass plate handles which, although aren't original, suit the piece well. There is good legroom clearance of 23" (58.5cm).
The desk is in good condition. It has a lovely rich colour and the writing surface is in good order. The drawers open well and are generally clean and tidy inside with a few old marks and ink stains. There are normal signs of light wear and age but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
