Late 17th Century Japanese Imari Barbers Bowl

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this finely painted Edo Period (1615-1868) Imari palette barbers bowl manufactured in the Arita kilns during the late 17th early 18th century Genroku period, (1688-1704) , the bowl has been vibrantly decorated in underglaze blue , iron red ,turquoise, yellow and black enamels further enriched with gilt , the central panel consists of flowering Peony and berries, the pierced rim decorated with floral cartouches on a diaper band divided by two pairs of figures., the reverse of this gorgeous bowl is further decorated with intertwined blossoming branches and pine , an outstanding condition Japanese Ceramic from the latter part of the 17th century and in fantastic vibrant condition.
