George 3rd Mahogany Candle Stand

18th century
Description

18th century George 3rd mahogany table mounted candle stand. The nicely turned base is heavily weighted with lead underneath to stop it falling over. Finely turned column with moulded dish top. There are a couple of minor stains to the top as can be seen in the pictures otherwise it is in good condition for its age. Not common but there are a couple illustrated in Pinto's book on treen.

Nice colour with a waxed finish.

SIZE; Base is 9 1/2" diameter, top is 10 1/2" diameter. Stands 17" high
