A George III Mahogany Tilt-top Wine Table

Description

An elegant George III mahogany wine table with a dished circular tilting top, the top over a slender turned baluster stem with a capstan below on an arched tripod on small spade feet. English circa 1790.

Condition: Overall very good, the top has a couple of old repairs to the edge (done no later than c.1850), otherwise it is in very good condition, with no undue wobbling. The tripod is free from repairs, and overall the table has a warm rich colour and lovely patina.
