This late 19th century Outstanding Quality Gillows Victorian Antique Table dates from ca. 1880. It has an octagonal moulded top with satinwood cross-banded edge and an array of fine inlays to create a wonderful floral decoration in the centre. This sits above four quality Mahogany turned supports with out-swept legs and small brass castors. There is a lower shaped tier along with a turned X framed cross stretcher for added stability. The table is stamped with the letter L so it was made in their Lancaster workshops. This fine antique table has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
