Georgian Mahogany Card Table

18th century
Description

Georgian mahogany card table with Kingwood cross banded ‘D’ shaped top above an apron inlaid with satinwood banded panels and standing on elegant square tapering legs with spade feet. Top has is perfectly flat and has not suffered from warping as so many do.

Trade lot offered at giveaway trade price. In need of restoration. Top has splits. Numerous missing areas of cross banding, stringing and minor veneers. Old break to very top of left front leg with metal bracket added. Good colour.
