Superb Regency Flame Mahogany Sofa Table C1810

Description

A wonderful example of a Regency Flame Mahogany Sofa table in the Manner of Thomas Sheraton, dating from the 1st decades of the 19thc. The finely selected Mahogany top with double drop leaves all line inlaid in Ebony, above one long and one dummy drawer to each side, finished with well cast lions mask handles. Supported on downswept sabre legs terminating with Greek key ornament, joined, by a ring turned stretcher. Supported on cast Brass Palmette motif hairy lions paw feet enclosing original brass casters.
