Description

Here we have a wonderful George III Padouk table from The Elveden estate c1790. As you can see the table has great colour and patina. The table base had over time rotted away and we have replaced it with a hand forged steel base which compliments the table very well. The advantage of the base is that knee height is not a problem nor are any legs in the way. The steel is boxed and has a great industrial but elegant look. There are pads on the feet so this can be on a tiled floor. The top is outstanding being made from Padouk and consisting of two large planks with cleated ends. The planks are tennoned into the cleats as through joints. We believe the table was used for the shooting party at Elveden and has been in storage for 50 years. An absolouely stunning table that will very comfortbaly seat 10 people in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The top can be separated from the base. The dimensions are approx 268 cm long 94 cm deep 76 cm high.
