A Lovely Early Victorian Burr Walnut Sofa Table.

A charming ornate table.

We bring to you this outstanding early Victorian burr Walnut table believed to be made around C1850. This great table is in a lovely original condition which we have just enhanced by sympathetically waxing this table preserving the lovely lightly faded original colour with lots of patina and charm.
This table features a quarter cut book-matched burr Walnut veneered top with moulded edge. Under the top features a burr Walnut freeze complete with cock-beading to the under edge (none missing). The table top stands on 2 very unusual turned, squared and carved uprights braced by a turned and squared centre rail with carvings to the centre. These supports go to 4 very ornately carved cabriole legs standing on typical Early Victorian solid polished brass castors on white porcelain wheels.
There is no movement or play in any of the joints and the top is flat with no bowing or twisting.

Please note this item is in beautiful condition for its age as shown in the photographs below however being an antique item it does have the odd bump and repair here and there. The table does have some historic repairs on the one side which have been done well and the table is strong. However, we feel that these points are which adds charm and character to a piece.

Height: 730mm
Height to underside rail: 660mm
Width: 1235mm
Depth: 610mm
