Description:
This is a fantastic quality antique solid oak refectory farmhouse 7ft 2?” table, circa 1890, from the Basque region of Spain, in excellent original condition. The table comprises a four-plank solid oak top, raised on stunning ornate lyre shaped legs, which are connected by a pair of curling wrought iron stretchers. The tabletop and base are original. The tabletop is of wonderful character, boasting a superb colour & grain configuration. The table will seat up to 8 people. It is sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath and is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table. The table legs and wrought iron stretchers can be dismantled for low-cost international shipping or easy access through narrow door ways.
Condition Report:
This is a fantastic quality antique solid oak refectory farmhouse 7ft 2?” table, circa 1890, from the Basque region of Spain, in excellent original condition. This table is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the frame and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The legs solid, with no breaks or loose movements. The table boasts a fantastic rich oak colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received, along with it being cleaned and professionally wax-polished by hand in our workshop. This table is extremely heavy, which is always a sign of good quality! This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
