Description

This is a most attractive 19th century French drop leaf Bois Satine table in super order dating from around 1880. The table has an ebonised base decorated with ormolu mounts and has a stunning surface, inlaid to all leaves with a central panel of flowers and scrolling foliage. The beautiful burr walnut has a wonderful rich colour and excellent patina inlaid with satin woods and fruitwood in an ebonised framework that gives a dramatic appearance. The edges of all surfaces are further detailed with beautiful ormolu cabling.

The table is in excellent condition with a good sound construction.

It measures 74 cms high by 58 cms square and opened out is 96 cms by 96 cms.
