A Georgian Oak and Elm Tilt Top Tripod Table

18th century
Description

A George III country oak tilt top tripod table with an elm base. Very attractive simplistic style with an elegant turned column in elm. The feet are shaped proportionately and support the whole well. The circular plank top is of faded oak with on old repair of very small size just off set of centre. Original brass catch to the tilting mechanism. There is a slight undulation to the top which is only sufficient to compliment the county look. Correct iron plate to the underside of the legs.
