Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian solid mahogany occasional table, circa 1780 - 1800, with lovely small proportions, useful as a bedside or small lamp table, displaying a lovely mellow colour, in excellent condition.
The drawer incorporates old replacement brass swan neck handles on circular escutcheons. The pine-lined drawer is constructed with fine hand-dovetail joints and the oak drawer front is decorated with cock-beading. The drawer retains the original working lock, with a working key. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on four moulded block legs, united by ‘H’ stretchers, giving additional strength. The table has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. The table is solid in joint and ready to use.

Here is a fine quality antique English Georgian solid mahogany occasional table, circa 1780 - 1800, with lovely small proportions, useful as a bedside or small lamp table, displaying a lovely mellow colour, in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The table has been cleaned and French polished by hand to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The drawer is in good working order; it retains the original pine drawer linings, closes flush to the frame and retains the original working lock, with working key. The drawer incorporates old replacement solid brass swan neck handles and circular escutcheons. The table has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
