Description:
The table comprises a straight-edged three-plank top, above a single working drawer. The drawer incorporates the original brass swan neck handles & circular escutcheons. The oak-lined drawer is constructed with fine hand dovetail joints and retains the original working lock, with working key, along with the original shaped brass key escutcheon. The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. The table stands on four moulded chamfered reeded legs. The table retains the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. Ideal for use a side table in a hallway, or even a small writing desk. The table is solid in joint and ready to use.

Condition Report:
This Georgian mahogany side table is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and cup marks to the top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawer is in good working order; it retains the original oak drawer linings, closes flush to the frame and retains the original working lock, with working key. The drawer retains its original solid brass handles and escutcheons, as well as the original shaped brass key escutcheon. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear. The frame has been constructed in the traditional manner for that period. As the table boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic mellow colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
