Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

The very unusual marble top with its single reeded edge sits on the simple frieze and is supported by the hexagonal balustrade style pedestal and the triform base and lions paw feet.
This has great presence and the lighter tones of the marble contrast so well with the rich mahogany base.

The table could have castors fitted to raise it a touch if you would rather it was a tad higher, but doesn't appear to have had castors before.
The marble has some nibbles to the edge, but nothing more than you often find with tables such as this and of its age.

Great piece of decorative antique French furniture that can be used as a centre hall table, a corner lamp table or also as a breakfast table too...many more options too obviously!
28 1/4 inches or 71.5 cm high
